1. Operational & Editorial Identity

VNews operates as an automated news briefing and intelligence platform. It is owned and operated independently by Francis Vincent Sunday in Ghana.

VNews is not a traditional newsroom: we do not employ investigative journalists, foreign correspondents, or manual reporting staff. Instead, our technology monitors publicly accessible news reporting from verified publishers, clusters related coverage, and produces concise, multi-source AI News Briefs designed to help readers stay informed efficiently.

2. Source Selection & Monitoring Standards

We select and monitor news sources according to objective criteria:

  • Reputation & Professionalism: We prioritize established news organizations, reputable national outlets across Ghana and Africa, and recognized international publications.
  • Accessibility & Public Availability: We only monitor publicly accessible feeds and articles.
  • Corroboration Over Rumor: Stories with multiple reporting sources receive higher corroboration priority. Unverified single-source claims are flagged with cautionary attribution.
  • Zero Suppression Tolerance: Feeds that consistently disseminate misinformation, malicious content, or infringe intellectual property are permanently suppressed from our pipeline.

3. No Fabricated Bylines or Author Identities

VNews maintains strict integrity regarding authorship:

  • We never invent artificial staff bylines, fictitious reporters, or fake journalist profiles.
  • If original source reporting attributes an article to a specific named journalist, that original byline may be noted in attribution details.
  • The briefing itself is clearly labeled as an AI News Brief synthesized from the referenced sources.

4. Corrections Policy & Process

We take factual accuracy seriously. When an error is identified in an AI briefing or attribution link, we act promptly to rectify it:

1. Submission: Readers and publishers can report errors using the in-app "Report an inaccuracy" form or by emailing vcontentplatforms@gmail.com.

2. Review: The report is reviewed in our administrative review queue against the original source reporting.

3. Action:

  • Minor Clarification / Text Update: If a summary point was ambiguous or phrased imprecisely, the brief is re-edited and updated.
  • Substantive Inaccuracy: If the briefing contained a material factual error, a published correction is applied to the article record.
  • Attribution / Link Error: If an attribution link was broken or misdirected, the server record is corrected immediately.

4. Transparency: Corrected articles display a visible "Corrected" timestamp and an explanatory correction note detailing what was changed.

5. Advertising Independence

Any future advertising or promotional placements appearing on VNews are strictly separated from news briefings:

  • Advertisements are clearly distinguished by visual formatting and placement labels.
  • Commercial partners have no influence over algorithmic source selection, story clustering, summary generation, or correction decisions.
